ELECTORAL PROCESS, ELECTION OF COUNCIL MEMBERS 2022/ ISCED-HUILA
The electoral process is underway at ISCED-HUILA for the election of General Council members, this Wednesday, the 30th of the current month and year.
The Ministry of Higher Education has called upon all Public Institutions to adopt the new system for the election of leadership positions.
The electoral process committee of ISCED-HUÍLA has informed us that for this Wednesday, March 30 of the current year, regarding the election of general council members, the admitted candidacies must be based on the posting of a final list on the respective notice boards designated for this purpose.
ON THE PROCESS LEADING TO THE ELECTION OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL COUNCIL
The General Council is the collective management body representing the different classes of the HEI’s academic community, responsible for the review and approval of its main management instruments.

POWERS OF THE GENERAL COUNCIL (Art. 18 OF THE ORGANIC STATUTE AND Art. 48 OF THE RJSES)
The General Council is responsible for powers determined under statutory and regulatory terms, summarized as follows:
To elect and dismiss the Singular Management Body of ISCED-Huíla, in accordance with the law;
To elect its president, by absolute majority, from among its members;
To designate the most voted professor or researcher,
2 Pursuant to paragraph 2 of Art. 47 of the RJSES, the General Council is composed of:
- Members elected within the academic community, by peers,
- Co-opted figures from civil society, external to the Institution, of recognized merit, with knowledge and experience relevant to the institution.
To draft and approve its internal regulations;
To review the draft Statute of ISCED-Huíla;
To approve the general regulations of ISCED-Huíla;
To approve proposals for amendments to the Statutes;
To approve the institution’s activity and financial reports;
To call upon the academic and administrative community of ISCED-HUILA to participate actively in the process for the election of their representatives within the institutional academic universe.
