French Language Teaching Course

Course Overview
The Bachelor’s degree in French Language Teaching aims to train teachers in the field of French language instruction. Upon completion of their training, these teachers must be capable of teaching the French language and French and Francophone culture to students at various educational levels in Angola or other geographical regions. Learning to teach French also means learning to assess the teaching and learning of this language and culture.
The teaching of French as a foreign language at our institution always takes into account the particularities of foreign language didactics, considering that the object of teaching and learning is the language itself, in our case, French.
Therefore, given the immediate communication needs in learning a foreign language, theoretical and practical objectives are always simultaneous for a future teacher. This is why great emphasis is placed on knowledge, know-how, interpersonal skills, and professional conduct, which translate into theoretical knowledge but also into the ability to speak, write, understand oral and written discourse—that is, to communicate in this language and to transmit it to students in a pragmatic manner.
