The election of the President and Vice-President of the ISCED-Hu\u00edla Scientific Council took place this Friday, July 15, 2022, in the Sala Magna.<\/p>

The Ad Hoc<\/em> Electoral Commission, established under Order No. 223\/GP\/ISCED-Hu\u00edla\/2022, met today, Friday, in order to proceed with the election of the candidate for President of the ISCED-Hu\u00edla Scientific Council.<\/p>

Under Article 22 of the Organic Statute of ISCED-Hu\u00edla, the Scientific Council is the collegiate management body responsible for reviewing, issuing opinions or deliberations on matters related to the scientific area, within the scope of scientific research, postgraduate training, and other matters submitted to it under the law.<\/p>

Once the candidacy of Full Professor Jos\u00e9 Ant\u00f3nio Fins<\/strong> and his Vice-President, Professor Doctor Jorge Manuel de Sousa Chaves<\/strong>, had been approved, voting took place in accordance with No. 2 of Article 25 of Presidential Decree No. 305\/21 of December 16 and No. 2 of Article 64 of Presidential Decree No. 310\/20 of December 7; the voters were counted, and the process proceeded as expected, with the participation of 20 members of the Scientific Council.<\/p>

The election was conducted by the President of the Electoral Commission, Professor Doctor Amadeu Ant\u00f3nio Paulo<\/strong>, and the following results were recorded:<\/p>

  • No. of voters registered at institutional level: 28<\/li>
  • Total number of voters: 20<\/li>
  • Votes in favour: 19<\/li>
  • Votes against: 0<\/li>
  • Abstentions: 1 vote<\/li>
  • No. of votes obtained by the candidate: 19<\/li><\/ul>

    According to the results presented, Professor Doctor Jos\u00e9 Ant\u00f3nio Fins<\/strong> was elected.<\/p>

    Subsequently, the representative of the Higher Education Teachers\u2019 Union, Professor Doctor Jos\u00e9 Ant\u00f3nio Nahambo<\/strong>, spoke and offered important remarks to the elected members.<\/p>

    The newly elected President of the Scientific Council then took the floor, beginning by thanking those present for the trust placed in him and calling for the commitment and collaboration of all, so that together important decisions may be made for the development and scientific visibility of ISCED-Hu\u00edla.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
