{"id":15963,"date":"2022-10-14T17:34:45","date_gmt":"2022-10-14T16:34:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/isced-huila.edu.ao\/isced-huila-opening-of-the-2022-2023-academic-year\/"},"modified":"2026-04-25T12:35:34","modified_gmt":"2026-04-25T11:35:34","slug":"isced-huila-opening-of-the-2022-2023-academic-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/isced-huila.edu.ao\/en\/isced-huila-opening-of-the-2022-2023-academic-year\/","title":{"rendered":"ISCED-HU\u00cdLA | Opening of the 2022-2023 Academic Year"},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"15963\" class=\"elementor elementor-15963 elementor-8715\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-a35f432 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"a35f432\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-54e2a28\" data-id=\"54e2a28\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fe60abc elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"fe60abc\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The solemn session for the Opening of the 2022\/2023 Academic Year took place on Friday, October 14, 2022, in the Institution&#8217;s Magna Hall.<\/p><p>Present at this session were representatives of the Provincial Government, the Independent Polytechnic Higher Institute, the Greg\u00f3rio Semedo Higher Institute, the National Police, rectors, the Municipal Administration of Lubango, faculty members of the Institution, administrative staff, students, and the public.<\/p><p>In accordance with the program, the opening session included three main moments:<\/p><ul><li>A speech segment that included the Students&#8217; Message, delivered by the President of the Student Association <strong>Efig\u00eania<\/strong> <strong>Tchiaca<\/strong>, who extended support to the governing body, the academic community, faculty members, as well as students and administrative staff; a message from the Faculty delivered by <strong>Dr.<\/strong> <strong>Carlos Cardoso<\/strong> and a message from the Higher Education Teachers&#8217; Union by its representative <strong>Dr<\/strong>.<strong> Jos\u00e9 Nahambo.<\/strong><\/li><li>A moment from the Inaugural Lecture <strong>&#8220;Africa 2063: Challenges and Perspectives in Higher Education,&#8221;<\/strong> chaired by <strong>Dr. Jorge Chaves.<\/strong> The lecture addressed three central themes: the concepts and foundations of the agenda, African aspirations (challenges and perspectives), and the Government of Angola&#8217;s 2022\u20132027 Program.<\/li><li>Speech by the President of ISCED <strong>Helder Pedro Alicerces Bahu,<\/strong> who highlighted the responsibilities and challenges in terms of infrastructure within the teaching and administrative staff, student-teacher relationships, and faculty and administrative personnel. He also announced that in the current academic year ISCED-Hu\u00edla offers two new programs: Early Childhood Education and Primary Education at the undergraduate level, and a Doctorate in Education. Regarding infrastructure, the president emphasized the creation of policies to equip the institution with sufficient materials for better accommodation of visually impaired, hearing impaired, and other students with disabilities.  <\/li><\/ul><p>To conclude the event, several recently renovated facilities of the institution were visited, including the Education Research and Development Center, the Central Library, and others.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-950aa80 gallery-spacing-custom elementor-widget
